Lovely added touches like vases of flowers and loaf of homemade bread, generous amount of milk. Able to heat it well inspire of very high stud as has heatpumps in each room and blinds or curtains to cover all windows. Peaceful country setting.

A few light bulbs missing from chandelier lights in bedroom.

Unique experience old historic building, plenty of room. Home baked loaf of bread provided was a nice touch. Quiet location overlooking acreage.

"Cosy, cottagey and historic"

The Old School House was a treasure. It had so much character, was welcoming, cosy, quiet and spacious. There were beautiful added touches such as fresh bread on arrival, eggs and milk, marmadade, buttercans jam in the fridge,, flowers on the table and in the bathroom. It has been decorated so thoughtfully and beautifully. We loved it

"If you're Te Awamutu for any reason this is a good choice. Peaceful and rural, but close to town."

I don't have time for breakfast - early departure - but the homemade bread was excellent and eggs were supplied. Much nicer than a motel

In addition to The Old School House being a perfect base for exploring the King Country it exudes charm and history of its own. We had everything we could possibly need for our two night stay including the now famous fresh bread and eggs on arrival. A truly lovely place that we are happy to recommend or return to ourselves.
