The Old School House

Location was great - very quiet - host met with fresh sourdough bread which was fabulous

I loved that there was a loaf of fresh bread on arrival, fresh flowers in the kitchen and bathroom, bed was beautiful and comfy and I felt so safe. I was warm, cosy and happy. Plus it was quiet so I could just chill and do by myself. It was really close to Te Awamutu too but in the country. Divine.

Location was really peaceful with beautiful views all around and was only a very short drive into town. Best of both worlds. Steve was a pleasure too, really friendly and makes wonderful bread!

Such a gorgeous historic house with beautiful setting and views. Hosts very lovely and welcoming, great communication and extra touches like homemade bread and fresh eggs left for breakfast. Super clean and tidy, it was a lovely stay.

The heater was on to greet us which was so considerate but the drafts in the old house and high ceilings meant it took a long time to heat the house and it became quite cold sitting in the lounge at night even with the heater on. Bedroom was fine with heater on to prepare it to be warm - by morning the house was lovely and warm.

No tenía claro la forma de check in y sobretodo que Cuando llegamos era invierno y a pesar de haber tenido el detalle de encender el aire caliente, hacía muchísimo frío

Lovely having fresh bread and eggs for breakfast! Beautiful old building and very well furnished.

Part of the character of an old building but it was a little bit draughty in the depth of winter. Next time I will come in summer and enjoy siting out in the lovely garden.
