The house and the town were truly a wonderful experience. The host was totally accommodating and had wonderful cakes ready for us when we would get "home". It was so cozy, we were sad to leave!

Cozy, clean and comfortable traditional accomodation. 3-5 minute walk to mini-market and restaurants. Great breakfast with fresh delivered to the doors each morning.

Hiking the GR50 through PNPG in cold and rainy weather, we could only dream of ending our day in this place: cake on the table, coffee in the cupboard and most important, central heating! Of all places we already been to in the North of Portugal in autumn or winter, this is by far the best. The house is renovated with quality materials, so no damp or mold anywhere. The bathroom is actually cosy and warm, something we rarely seen. You can see the owners take great care of every single detail, from the bread bag on the door every morning to the soft linen on the bed. They will see us again here for sure!

TL;DR: just book the place :) Luiza nuestra señora de la casa is a lovely beautiful woman who turned this house into one of our best holiday stays in life. Her generosity and heartwarming hosting is as if she was my own grandma, welcoming us with cakes into the charming and rustic soajo town house. The food is in abundance with her, as she spoiled us with delicious treats, offered advices on where to go, helped us with things we had to do, and was quick to respond whenever we needed her. combined with soajo’s tranquil and mystic vibes, I have to say that’s perhaps the best stays of my life.

Very comfortable, if compact, apartment. We had the double-bed, two level property which is actually on the right of the courtyard. Bedroom and shower room downstairs, living accommodation upstairs. It's a bit tight for space but everything you need is there. Luisa constantly tops up the bread and cheese/ham supply so we had breakfast and snack lunch (for walking) every day. There's a good little shop (Rosa?) if you follow the alleyway where you can buy beers/wine etc for the fridge (also does take-away). Three good restaurants and a taverna in the village - though the menus are a bit samey. It's a great base for the local walks and river swimming. Owner speaks good French but very little English - not a problem. We just relaxed and enjoyed ourselves.

Very tight for parking in the courtyard. Unless you've got a small car, I'd leave it by the cafe on the outskirts of the village
