Casas de Pousadouro

What a find! Our stay at Casas de Pousadouro exceeded expectations. A stunning, serene, secluded slice of paradise. We stayed with our two teenage daughters and had been nervous they may find it too quiet. However they loved all the different chill out areas, the beautiful pool area, and the activities on the river. Our house was stylish, with incredible views of the river, and we were treated to daily housekeeping and a delicious breakfast delivered every day. Our stay was made truly special by the care and generosity of our host, Julianna and her team, their hospitality was exceptional. We can’t recommend a stay with them enough and look forward to returning.

Our family of six had a wonderful visit to Casas de Pousadouro. Julianna was fantastic , helping with every need we had and providing helpful suggestions on activities. It was our daughter‘s birthday and Julianna presented us with a delicious meal and a special cake. She helped with all our activities and reservations. The setting is magnificent, directly on the Douro River. The family enjoyed the kayaks and a paddle board. I can highly recommend Casas de Pousadouro.

The villa we booked was very old and not maintenance properly.

Breakfast was fantastic. Juliana and her team are wonderfully friendly and helpful. Idyllic location with stunning views. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Beautiful property overlooking the river. Excellent service. Outdoor space a definite plus.

It is a bit far to Regau and Pinhoa if interested in Duoro wine experience. However the drive is beautiful and the train is convenient.

hostess Juliana leveled up the place and our stay with her warm and kind hospitality. the place is so tidy and clean and well kept that you feel like you are staying in 5 stars hotel. hospitality and cleanliness of these 2 ladies that run the place is in a high level quality and all the facilities and the place itself looks minor in front of their hospitality.

It has one of the most beautiful and astonishing views I have ever experienced throughout the country, its very peaceful and the staff is very friendly and has a keen eye towards caring for your every need so that you can have the best experience possible. I rate it 11/10.

Literally nothing that one could complain about or dislike.

Each cottage beautifully integrates the environment - the river and the hillside - and has an individual character. The level of service is next level. Besides serving a wonderful varied breakfast, they baked us bread for evening meals, booked boat tours without any markup, and generally pampered us to no end. Juliana the property manager is a find: warm, knowledgeable and gets things done!

Access at night is tricky - pay attention to the signs!
