Beautiful location, beautiful accommodation. Food was fantastic and Juliana was exceptionally helpful and friendly.

Location and the installation are really nice

After an intresting drive to reach the property we were warmly greeted by Juliana who went the extra mile to ensure that we had everything we might need during our stay. It's location is wonderful and provides for a very tranquil and peaceful break. Delicious oranges fall from the trees in the big garden. The property offers multiple areas of decking for relaxation. Our apartment was large, well furnished with a very comfortable bed. As we prefer self catering we found the kitchen in need of a bit of a refresh. On Juliana's advice we used the local Aregos station to travel on the very scenic railway line to visit Pinhau and Regua. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property for a wonderful vacation.

There was nothing not to like

The house is lovely with a great view of the river and train. We didn't expect it to be so beautiful and modern. Very clean with everything you need for cooking and barbecue. There are tangerines growing on the property that you can eat straight from the tree! There is a canoe and lots of places to relax. There is a small village nearby. Breakfast was lovely: juice from oranges from the garden and lots of different local food - cheese, meat, eggs and more.

We had the pleasure of staying in Casas de Pousadouro for two nights. The setting is lovely and the apartment was a good size, private and very comfortable, with a great view of the river. Unfortunately, the weather was pretty dreary - rainy, cool and foggy, so we didn't take advantage of the kayaks or relaxing by the pool. Julianna was terrific - kind and helpful. She gave us a number of suggestions for eating and activities, including taking a train trip down the river, hiking options, and a few near-by restaurants. We did them all, and our trip was much better because of this insider information. The bed was very comfortable, the breakfast was large and very good. We had some trouble finding the location, and the driving around there can be pretty hairy - small, twisting roads and VERY hilly. Not for the faint-of-heart drivers, but worth the anxiety.

Absolutely beautiful place, loads of different places to chill and relax. It was great to get out on the river on the kayaks and paddle boards. The owner and staff were lovely and even cooked a really delicious and beautiful dinner for us one night
