Everything was excellent

The scenery and silence was perfect. A great little getaway if you enjoy nature and want to escape the noise of the city. The room was cosy and warm, and the staff we're so friendly and really helpful. Would return again during spring.

Location was amazing! A point to note, that if you are backpacking or just visiting Porto without a car, you can catch the train straight to the bottom of this property and Juliana can arrange a transfer, very good location. We were in need of total relocation and I’d explain this property as a villa with your very own Personal assistant, taxis sorted, food sorted, wine sorted, pizza delivered by local restaurant! Juliana really looked after us for our 6 night stay! SUP and kayak was great and the gardens with small places to have our own space was great, the property is so well looked after, cleaning is a top priority! So good! I could go on and on about how good this property is………

Tables were looking like they had reached the end of their life, could do with replacing.

This place is a rare find, with a small range of B&B cottages centred around the northern bank of the river Douro. A place to relax or engage in water based activities, soak up the sun at the poolside, enjoy the peace and tranquility and travel back into the "old" Portugal. Spotlessly clean, well furnished and extremely comfortable accommodation with an honesty bar, daily restocked basic supplies and a delicious continental breakfast delivered on time. Juliana and her team are here to ensure your stay exceeds your expectations, to guide you to local restaurants, activities and help with any issues that might arise. A car is a definite must and the local roads are an interesting challenge but the scenery they reveal as you climb into the hills is well worth the effort. a gloriuos location and many fond memories generated. We are already planning our return trio next year!! Thank you Juliana and i-escape.

Comfortable , relaxing , peaceful and beautiful spot right on the river. Swim and canoe and walk and chill. Our family loved our stay , the delicious breakfasts and the wonderful hostess , Juliana , who made the stay so special. It’s the ideal spot to unwind under the trees while listening to the birds. The rooms were comfortable and tastefully furnished.
