Silo Cottage

The Views of the mountains from the patio and the Fire pit and also the newly installed indoor fireplace .The horses were so friendly we got to feed them and in the surroundings we found a gem of a swimming spot .We definitely going back in the Winter

The cottage was nestled away on a beautiful farm, with wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. There was ample opportunity to walk along the river, swim and interact with the 3 beautiful horses on the property. Beautiful getaway nestled in the mountains

Very beautiful location & very comfortable, lovely environment for Children.

The guys just missed having DSTV, but I enjoyed being without it.

Silo Cottage is in a beautiful location with lovely views of the Drakensberg. The house is spacious and has everything you need to enjoy a self catered stay near Underberg. Great spot to stay with friends or family.

Spacious house for a family get away. Easily accessible and not too far away from town. The main bedroom is very easily accessible being on the ground floor. Awesome views from two of the three bedrooms. Third rear facing bedroom is nice and cool in summer. The nearby river was in impressive flood when we visited and an easy walk from the house. Large en suite bathroom for main bedroom. The gravel road leading from the main tar road is well maintained and quite smooth. Old fashioned box TV is great to deterrent for TV addicts. Lovely patio furniture compliments the amazing views. Our small dog was accommodated, which was a big factor in us choosing this place. Convenient laundry area and comfortable kitchen. I liked the fact that the loft bedroom has an en suite toilet. Under cover parking was a bonus.

The loft bedroom is a very novel idea, it only has chest of drawers though. Loft bedroom can get quite hot in summer but there was a nice free standing fan. The wood that was available to braai with is more suitable for a fireplace and was not great to make a outside fire with as the chunks were massive - rather source your own braai wood. The bottom grid of the Weber braai was burned through in the middle. No real hiking trail near the house for those seeking more challenging walks. We felt a bit stuck at times between the private properties. Could not find a hosepipe to clean the bulk of the dirt from the car.
