Francesco, his wife and staff were excellent. Making sure we were comfortable and fed. The hotel was very “tranquilo” with a pleasant ambience

The hotel is a couple of km outside of Paterno, and public transport is not reliable A car is preferred. Taxis are expensive from Catania airport, so it’s advisable to book in advance But Francesca kindly drove us to Paterno from the hotel. Paterno is a quaint town with the castello Normanno sitting atop of the town overlooking the plains of Catania…

We loved everything! Francesco and Angela were the perfect hosts and made us smile on so many occasions with lovely and thoughtful little surprises. The food was amazing (If you’re a vegan, don’t worry), the pool was very large with a beautiful view of Etna and the room was recently renovated and nicely decorated. Francesco gave us some great information and tips about our next stop on the northern coast of Sicily.

The location was quite remote, but for us it was perfect! I would totally skip a place in Catania for this lovely fattoria :)

Lovely farm stay and within driving distance of lots of day trips like Etna and Taormina. Great food and fabulous hosts.

Everything was great, quick, organized, clean, great food, spacious room, and the kindest people ever!

There isn’t anything to dislike, it feels like an oasis, especially after two chaotic days in Palermo.

La Fattoria Dei Nonni is a beautiful rustic gem in the foothills of Mount Etna, it's really peaceful, has amazing views in every direction, the pool oasis is perfect for relaxing all day long, the food was absolutely delicious and the owners and staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating!
