The hotel has been adapted for those guests with mobility problems to provide access throughout the ground-floor areas. 5 bedrooms are located on the ground floor, one of which has been designed for wheelchair use. If you would like to reserve one of the wheelchair-accessible rooms, please contact the property to confirm its availability. The hotel does not accept American Express. Half-board rates include 2 courses. Steak is excluded. Pets are welcomed strictly upon agreement with the hotel and can only be accommodated in a limited number of pet-friendly Garden rooms. Only dogs can be accommodated as pets at the property. We no longer accept pets in our classic double or twin rooms in the main building. Please call or directly email the property in advance to confirm availability, and only bring your pet when this is confirmed via reply. Please note a fee of GBP 10 per pet per night will be charged. One dog per booking unless agreed with the manager in advance. Check-ins after 22:00 cannot be accommodated. Please note that visitors are not allowed and all residents need to be registered. Please note that roadwork is going on nearby from 07/10/2024 to 08/11/2024. There may be minor disruptions.This property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties. A deposit may be required at the property.

"Why sell us a room with a balcony when they don’t exist."

The hotel was surprisingly very quiet when we arrived, and also during our 2 night stay, which suited us. Our room was quite spacious and the shower was as good as they get, and our evening meals were very nice.

We booked a room with a balcony hoping for something a bit different from the norm,, there was nothing wrong with the room that we were given but when I enquired why we had no balcony I was told that they have NO rooms with balcony’s , and that this had happened before. We were also told at reception. that someone would let us know when our room was ready but were left waiting in the bar area for 30 minutes as they apparently forgot about us. We still had a nice couple of days and we caused no fuss at all over these issues but we do feel that the standard of service could be a bit better.

All your staff are really friendly and eager to help, and the place was nice and clean.

It was quite warm this weekend, and it would be great if all rooms were provided with a fan and not just some. Also the water pressure in room 5 was particularly weak.

"OK for an overnight stopover"

We were in a garden room which was clean and comfortable with an updated shower room with spacious walk in shower. We got a good night's sleep in the king size bed.

The hotel is on the main road from Norwich to the coast so road noise is apparent when sitting on the outside terrace. The public areas and bar were worn and tired. We were informed the kitchen was closing shortly before 8pm on both the Friday and Saturday nights of our stay. The only option was a packet of crisps after a long journey. Prosecco was not properly chilled. The staff appeared young and inexperienced. The room was not serviced - we were staying two nights and we had to ask for tea and coffee to be replenished. We decided to avoid the breakfast.

"Good but BEWARE THE PROPERTY HAS NO BALCONIES!!"

Friendly staff. Good food.

The fact that we booked a balcony room. The property HAS NO BALCONY ROOMS!! We have formally complained to the property and booking.com a few weeks ago but neither party seems to be interested in changing this misleading information as it is now 3 weeks since we returned. So BEWARE.
