The hotel has been adapted for those guests with mobility problems to provide access throughout the ground-floor areas. 5 bedrooms are located on the ground floor, one of which has been designed for wheelchair use. If you would like to reserve one of the wheelchair-accessible rooms, please contact the property to confirm its availability. The hotel does not accept American Express. Half-board rates include 2 courses. Steak is excluded. Pets are welcomed strictly upon agreement with the hotel and can only be accommodated in a limited number of pet-friendly Garden rooms. Only dogs can be accommodated as pets at the property. We no longer accept pets in our classic double or twin rooms in the main building. Please call or directly email the property in advance to confirm availability, and only bring your pet when this is confirmed via reply. Please note a fee of GBP 10 per pet per night will be charged. We changed rooms as booking.com sold us a balcony room overlooking the river but when we got there we established there were no balcony rooms. However, Kaitlinn, the Receptionist was very helpful and moved us to a GArden room which was lovely. Breakfast was lovely.

The service was slightly slow in the restaurant but we got a freshly cooked breakfast which was worth the wait.

Nice clean room.

There were limited drinks in the bar. The room was advertised as having a balcony/terrace which really not the case. It was just a door opening onto a planter with the beer garden in full view so privacy a massive issue.

The room was well equipped and if you need more tea and coffee items, you can help yourself. The staff were very friendly and the common areas are very nicely decorated. It feels like a real country escape.

My room was at the front of the building so the noise from the main road built steadily from around 0700. This is fine when you can sleep with the windows shut but not at the back end of a heatwave! The phone number listed on Booking.com is for a manager who left in October, he was as helpful as he could be but if you actually need to speak to the property you need to Google the landline number.
