If I HAD to, the shower is overhead only; so it’s a bit difficult to not get your hair wet if it’s not hair wash day. I’ll bring my shower cap next time!

It was a perfect location , and beautifully cosy. Sara & Dave were very welcoming as was Bobby their very friendly four legged family member 😀

Lovely place to use as a base, so well planned out for limited space, but wanted for nothing. If you walking, hiking its a great location as so many beautiful walks close by 😊

We luved everything, it was so cosy and in a perfect place 🙂

The property was very well appointed, except for the rather small hand towel. It was clean. The bed was comfortable. The WiFi was great. The situation is very good.

I feel that I was incited to reserve this property on the basis of false information. It is described on the Booking.com website as a 'country house', and there is a picture of a country house. That house is the owner's. The accommodation that is offered is a converted garage that only has a window with frosted glass. So you cannot even look out. I had hoped to spend quite a bit of time in the property writing and working. But I would have gone crazy staying there all day. And the weather was not good enough to sit outside for any length of time. The Booking.com states, The Old Smithy is not usually available on our site. Reserve soon before it sells out!' This is simply not true. I have looked at half a dozen dates in the next three months, and it appears every time.

I loved the peace and quiet of the place. The shower was excellent and the whole bathroom was impeccably cleaned, as was the rest of the space.

The half sized ironing board was really hard to use, especially as it only just fits on the table so a full sized on would be much appreciated if I were to stay again. Also, it would be awesome if there was a sofa bed in there as well as the double bed but the sofa that was there was great.

Beautiful setting and fantastic use of space in the self contained converted flat. Everything you could possibly need was provided. Off road parking on the driveway. The host family were welcoming and ensured our stay was perfect.

It's a very peaceful location, also convenient for accessing Snowdonia National Park and other hiking routes. The kitchen is great for making breakfast and preparing lunch. Sara and David are very friendly hosts.
