Went for a spa afternoon for my partners birthday and decided to book a room beforehand to extend the experience of the castle. It was more than what we expected. I'd seen reviews on line saying it could do with a lick of paint, it's dated etc - at the end of the day it's a castle and it was kept in the way it should be. The staff couldn't have been any more helpful than they were !! All in all myself and my partner had a fabulous spa afternoon, lunch, evening meal & stay and will be back !

Nothing !! For us the location was perfect, the grounds were beautiful with informative signs around. I think if anyone finds fault, they are very hard to please !

The location was perfect.All the staff were very pleasant. Very comfy bed +lovely hot shower.Ample parking.

Castle appears run down in places.Could do with a lick of paint +better cleaning. Advertised as 1/2 board but given £30 allowance.Not quite rite. 1 of our evening meal was good but the other not hot +very tough fish +vegetable.
