The Wrea Head Hall Country House Hotel & Restaurant

Had a fabulous overnight stay with cream tea, dinner and breakfast. Lots of choice on the menu. The hotel is very charming, peaceful and well maintained. It has a lovely ambience. A memorable part of our stay was the service from the bar, restaurant and reception staff. All were extremely courteous, attentive, polite and professional. Definitely stood out as exceptional.

Jacqui had made a surprise booking for my birthday and it certainly was a surprise from the moment of arrival when we were greeted by Marian, assistant manager through to tea outside and a delightful meal where we enjoyed the creations of the head chef, Andrew and his team (the lamb was sumptuous). No mugs in the rooms - a teapot - how delightful - such attention to detail. Only slight annoyance was with a couple who at dinner on a table for two, asked for another chair so a non eating visitor could sit with them to talk business 'having to re fit a bar' - bad manners. The service was old school and much appreciated and we will come again, but longer next time. Every single member of staff throughout was excellent with Kumar handling the 9 o clock rush for breakfast in the library with good humour and efficiency. Well done all at Wrea Head Hotel we'll be back.

First class location, first class venue and first class service. At last, a country house hotel living up to it's website photos and it's claim to quality. Special mention to 'Josh'. This young man has hospitality skills way beyond his years.

A stunning hotel in a stunning location in acres of beautiful grounds peace and quiet and very relaxing an excellent ambiance atmosphere and feeling to it , every room was exceptionally clean the cleaning staff where very good pleasant and knowledgeable, bedroom was excellent as were rooms we have stayed before only criticism is in a lot of the rooms lack storage space although good size rooms! All have quality furniture in keeping with hotels era, winter time a lovely real fire burns in the lounge, the hotel is full of character with lovely wood panelled rooms including fantastic library, all food is outstanding from breakfast through until dinner all quality ingredients, all of the staff are exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful and nothing really seems too much trouble it is a real hidden gem!

We had an amazing stay at Wrea Head Hall, arriving on the Friday leaving Sunday. Exceptionally experienced staff, very accommodating and friendly. Hotel was spotless, food was amazing. Would highly recommend. 10 **********
