More than just a beautiful place to stay, the house was enjoyable, the bed comfortable, the shower great plus a wonderful breakfast. I only wish we could have stayed longer. It is a short walk to explore the castle and walls.

We didn't get the property as shown in these pictures but a smaller 'grandfather' where there are no pictures on the listing. We were very disappointed as we wanted to stay in a stone apartment as that is what the pictures showed but that was not what we got.

a bit hard to find even and small towns in Portugal have lots of one lane roads. Fun really, and drivers are courteous.

The town was fantastic as was the accommodation. The lady who owned the property was so lovely.

Poor decoration, bathroom was not comfortable

We stayed in the two bedroom stone cottage which was such a unique experience. It was very comfortable and clean with the inside furnishings very much in character with the cottage. There is a stove to cook on (but no oven). It is a very short walk to the castle with another tiny but very beautiful village (I think set up for tourism) inside the castle walls. There is an ATM and restaurant/s inside the castle walls as well. You can also drive all the way up to the castle and park. We loved our stay at this property.
