"A relaxing nights stay before a busy day at work."

This was my second stay at Cleavers Lyng, and although it was just for one night for work, I couldn't have been more looked after. The hosts are excellent, the location quiet, the views lovely and the property wonderful. With the village just down the road all your needs are catered for, the breakfast is wonderful and a good choice between cold & hot. The Cleavers Lyng is now my automatic go to establishment when ever I'm in the area for work.

On both stays there has been nothing that I don't like - you would have to be very very picky to find something. Perhaps the one thing I would say is that its too far away from where I live, otherwise I would take my good lady there as well instead of staying just for business purposes.

We’ve stayed before and very much enjoyed it. We like to visit a very nice french restaurant in Herstmonceux but live miles away. Clevers Lyng is not far away from the restaurant although it’s not within walking distance. The house has great character and the room was comfortable with lovely views from our double aspect room. Full English Breakfast, as always, was exceptional with perfectly cooked eggs (in fact, perfectly cooked everything!). Thank you Sally for making us feel welcome and for another great stay.

We honestly can’t think of anything we didn’t like.
