"Nice stay but no heating."

Everything was in your room that you could need. Tea/coffee facilities were very good. Breakfast was excellent and host was lovely.

There was no heating anywhere and you have to ring owner to ask for it to be put on. I sent a text which wasnt seen until the next day after we left. Dining room was abit chilly. Could do with door hook in bathroom.

"Amazing stay."

We liked absolutely everything! Sally was outstanding in her hospitality; super friendly, helpful and very thoughtful. The place was spotless throughout, and there was everything you may need - even board games and books! Breakfasts were delicious, with a very good variety to choose from. The property is beautiful, and perfectly located for exploring the surrounding area.

"Pretty stopover on a walking holiday."

Well positioned for our walk on the 1066 Country Walk. Comfortable rooms and some nice sitting areas, a pretty garden with amazing views. Very good breakfasts.

Not the property’s fault, but the nearest places to eat are in Herstmonceux 1.5 miles away - which is significant if you don’t have transport and have been walking all day.

"A peaceful cosy stay near Herstmonceux Castle"

The setting was very peaceful with stunning views from the garden over the rolling hills (there is a perfectly located little terrace with table and chairs). The house was impeccable and very cosy with a lovely games room upstairs we didn't in the end used. Our bedroom (with 4 poster bed) was well planned and extremely comfortable. The breakfast was very generous.

"Idyllic property in idyllic location"

There is nothing not to like at this property. It is delightful. Lovely property, beautiful decor. Excellent location with spectacular views. The owner is attentive to every need for comfort. Breakfast was very good. Varied choice beautifully cooked. Would certainly stay again
