I loved it was so near the main road but it was like it was in the middle of nowhere Was really central to where we were wanting to go

Lovely big room in a beautiful old house. Quiet location, but close to A1 and only 5 mins drive from Holy Island causeway. Breakfasts were excellent - 2 courses as standard and vegetarian options available. Jimmy is a great host, nothing was too much trouble.

Nothing major, however be aware there’s no wifi at the B&B - not a problem for us as we had mobile signal. The rooms are comfortable but the decor and facilities may be a little old fashioned for some people’s tastes.

The house is in an ideal location just off of the A1 and close to lots of amazing places to visit The host was friendly and knowledgeable about the local area, accommodating of our needs The room was large and comfortable

Although our visit was in July the weather was cool and unfortunately so was the room

What went well was the friendliness and good sense of humour of Jimmy, the host, and the informative things he told us about the surrounding areas. The grounds of the house were beautiful and the livestock were charming.The bedroom was large light and airy and the bed very clean and comfortable. Very nice full English breakfast.

Perhaps a shelf in the bathroom for toiletries and toothbrushes etc, however this is not a complaint, more of an observation.

Great location, plenty of wildlife, resident peacock very entertaining. Great breakfast

The whole experience was excellent. Great host (gave us lots of local info & recommendations), warm welcome, luxurious room, lovely gardens with animals (some domestic, some wild !) all in beautiful surroundings, amazing breakfasts, a truly relaxing stay. Also excellent location, you'd never believe you were just a turning off the A1, it was a rural oasis.

The only reason for 'Quiet' not being excellent was the resident peacock, but I have to say, we did get used to his nightly calls and he was beautiful ! We were in Room 1 overlooking the front gardens.

Beautiful property and gardens. Spacious comfortable room and use of a lounge area aswell. Jimmy was a wonderful host and made us very welcome.

Very small niggle, the shower temperature was unpredictable.

Very elegant house and furnishings, friendly and likable host, comfortable bed, good breakfast and a lovely place to stay. Great location and a real traditional feel of class.

Couple of minor insignificant points, our first night was unseasonably cold and the heating was off which was a bit chilly but was warmer on following nights. The shower temperature control is a bit sensitive.
