Great room, great location and lovely host. Very clean and well presented with great facilities.

Nothing - the stay was perfect and exceeded our expectations.

Location was absolutely exceptional. Really beautiful building fullness character. Mike was a charming and helpful host. Comfortable room and bed and a lovely terrace to take in the wonderful view.

Only little niggle which is totally to be expected was the beautiful floor was creaky. Just made us a bit paranoid that we were waking people up moving around. But it's a beautiful place and we really loved it.

Nothing, everything fabulous.

We had visited the town previously so were aware of the property location and how busy it can be along the adjacent river path but due to the layout of the property it was not an issue. Parking was adjacent to the property which made things very easy indeed. The roof terrace / patio area was a great place to enjoy some outside space yet still be private. The shower room was huge and also very clean. Breakfast was taken at the nearby Black Mulberry cafe for an excellent - discounted - breakfast. A very good drinks tray was provided in the room with good quality snacks / drinks. The owner of the accommodation also gave us a few recommendations for places to eat but we had already booked at the Old Mother Shipton Inn for a late Sunday lunch, which was exceptional. When we visited the area previously we didn't have time to explore the town properly but we were glad we did as it was very accessible up a few paths and really good with lots of independent shops to explore.

The bed we had was was a little difficult to access from one side due to the room layout but in such an old building maybe there aren't many other options to fit everything in. The laminated information looked like it needed an update as I think the car parking spaces on it have now been built on? We were not expecting a breakfast in the accommodation but there still seemed to be crockery etc around the dining room in readiness for that? There was also mention of a self service honesty bar in the dining room but we never saw that anywhere without looking in places that maybe we shouldn't go? All minor points and nothing really to distract from this very well located and comfortable accommodation!

Teardrop cottage is full of character, a stones throw from the beautiful river and famous viaduct and we absolutely loved it. The room was clean with a lovely view. The terrace was beautiful and the owner was very helpful. He provided lots of knowledge about the local area and places to eat.
