Great location in Ambleside, close to the shops and pubs but more importantly to all the walking routes around it. Also 50m away from a bus stop that connects you with the rest of Lake District. Amazing spot for walkers and ramblers. Our room was great and clean - plenty of space, very generous and cosy bed, en suite bathroom with a shower, TV and great coffee (actual coffee machine) and tea making facilities. Couldn't ask for more. Our hosts were also amazing - check in and check out was without any problems, cooked for us some really nice full English breakfast and most importantly, were always there if you needed them. Thanks for having us! Highly recommended.

Claire and Eugene are the friendliest and most helpful of hosts and they made us feel so welcome. Our room and shower were perfect and breakfast was delicious. We certainly recommend this comfortable house, ideally situated as it is in a quiet space just around the corner from the centre a charming town.

Nothing really. If I had to say something though it was just the bed was a little soft.

Everything was spot on from start to finish. We needed for nothing. The hosts Clare and Eugene both excel in their hospitality skills. We felt welcomed and looked after and had the most perfect stay. Now we have discovered this 'gem' of a b+b we wouldn't go anywhere else. The rooms are very comfortable, peaceful, relaxing and spotlessly clean. Each room has the usual bottled water, tea, coffee , coffee machine, biscuits and a mini fridge for the fresh milk. The chocolate and raspberry muffins on arrival was a lovely touch. The pre ordered freshly cooked english breakfast was delicious and made with good quality ingredients. Other options are available. The Lakes b and b is in walking distance to all the shops, cafés ,restaurants , pubs and cinemas. A small bus station is just around the corner with regular buses throughout the day ,making it easy to travel to Windermere, Bowness, Grasmere , Kendal and Keswick. You just have to give this special place a try , we will definitely be back.

Everything was absolutely perfect. Great location. Clare and Eugene were the perfect hosts who went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. Could not be happier with our stay.
