The Lakes B and B

Warm welcome from the most thoughtful and friendly hosts, great walks from the door, clean and comfortable accommodation.

Everything, it was a lovely place, perfectly located in the centre of Ambleside, with a brilliant breakfast and very welcoming hosts.

Centrally situated in Ambleside - so you could get everywhere. Parking was interesting, but had no problems with the range of options - a great bonus in such a busy location. Hosts were excellent - nothing was too much trouble. Gave a great atmosphere.

Wifi was a bit patchy - worked most of the places but on top floor under the eaves was hit and miss.

We really enjoyed another stay in Ambleside and we really pleased with our choice to stay at the Lakes B&B. The owners Eugene & Clare made our stay as good as any we have had in past and we would visit again when we are next in the area. The breakfast was a highlight and well above average with a great choice of options.

Lovely B&B in the heart of Ambleside yet still peaceful on a bank holiday weekend. Really great little place. Comfy beds and lovely soft pillows (I dont sleep well on a hard pilow and usually have to take my own). The hosts were lovely. Breakfast was delicious. Thanks again hope to stay with you in the future.

Location was excellent in the centre of Ambleside and could walk into the heart of the shops and restaurants. Clare and Eugene were so helpful and friendly. Room was quiet and extremely comfortable, Room had everything you could want or need.

Nothing - the whole stay was except.

The house was very clean and comfortable. It was conveniently situated close to all amenities

I’m sure there were extra stairs to our room when we came back at night! 🤣

Eugene and Clare were very warm and welcoming, providing us with plenty of information about the area and even a wedding anniversary card. Comfortable, cosy room, parking next to the property and a lovely breakfast.
