Firstly, the room strongly smelt of damp old plaster, kettle was BEHIND the TV (could have been on a separate unit where the very over-sized large mirror adorned a wall (to cover up something?), the wall & floor tiles in the unusual 'step-down bathroom did not meet up so not sealed (this would have contributed to the smell) and absolute disgusting gunk (no sealant) directly on the floor outside the shower. Hot water temperature is set far too high - you could make a cup of tea directly from the tap - dangerous! No mattress or pillow protectors on bed (difficult to sleep just knowing that - yuk!) Hubby dropped a coin, retrieved from lots of dust under the bed. No plug point near a mirror to provide reachable movement with a hairdryer - oversized mirror not required (other than to hide something?). Bedside table - scruffy - no not "character" just plainly needs a paint. No toilet roll holder, underside of toilet lid stained. Large heavy drapes, droopy curtain rod - could obviously not take weight. Very scruffy window - would not close. Breakfast - no fruit, SMALL rounds of sourdough toasted - hard and inedible. Consideration should be given as to why you would operate a B&B in a property that is shoddy both inside and out. There is a reason why there is a 'murky' photo of this B&B on Booking.com - we could not leave fast enough .....

Fabulous full English breakfast. Easy plentiful parking. Lovely large comfortable ensuite bedroom. Roomy traditional Farmhouse with lots of character. Friendly helpful owners. Reasonable cost.

Nothing. With an old building some creaking & noise travelling is to be expected & not a problem.

The bedroom was outstanding with a very comfortable bed. A great shower in the en suite. Great breakfast with dietary requirements catered for.

Fantastic B&B, cannot recommend it enough. Very comfy and clean with excellent en suites. The building itself was lovely and breakfast was delicious. Very welcoming hosts. Will be staying here again.
