Claridges B&B

Very good breakfast. My husband had the Full English and I had the Continental, with 4 different types of fruit. Lovely. The room was quiet, even tbough the windows are onky single glazed. The B&B is only 10 minutes drive from Bath, and 5 minutes from Keynsham shops and restaurants.

The catch on the bedroom window was broken. We like fresh air while we sleep, but couldn't fasten the window open, without it flying fully open.

I loved how homey it felt, the room was spacious and warm, it was set on a lovely estate with wonderful views of the sunrise and gardens. Breakfast was so wonderful, we truly felt spoilt with the delicious spread and a full teapot of tea to enjoy between us in such a wonderful breakfast room

The room was a good size & the shower itself was great.

It was hard to find in the dark - the post code on Booking.com is wrong by about 2 miles and the B&B is in the middle of nowhere without a lit sign. It was freezing - my room was not heated & I was not given a WiFi code. The B&B host was out when I checked on (with a friend of the host) so I did not meet any staff. The room set up was quirky - I am a 5’10” man and when I used the bathroom (via the wardrobe) I had to bend down to use the loo & sink due to a low beam. And to get to the shower meant walking with a stoop. The shower itself was great though.

I felt so comfortable and happy staying at Claridges, the house is beautiful and the bed room was so cosy and warm. I slept soundly and breakfast was the best I have had in years. This is a high standard b and b with a real care for their guests. I’ll be back again!

Excellent breakfast. Perfect location for our purpose. The hosts were extremely accommodating of our request to allow our daughters and a young grandson to call in and spend some time with us at their very lovely house.

Spacious and warm

The cooked breakfast was just great. For us the location was simply ideal, being near our son's family. Kim and Marie were really extremely helpful, pleasant and flexible to our needs (especially timing of the breakfast).

There was no written warning about the heat of the hot tap in the bathroom (the water was very hot indeed!). Can this be rectified?

Set back from the road. Superb open views. Huge room and en suite bathroom. Historical character and ambience. Perfect breakfast. Pleasantly friendly hosts. Private parking at the door.

There were minor cleanliness issues in the bathroom. Communal areas were a bit gloomy ( but that was to be expected as part of the character of the house). Door and steps to bathroom might be awkward for those who are a little unsteady in their feet.
