There was nothing to like at this B&B. When we arrived the place had scaffolding up and was an eye sore. We should have been informed of this before our stay so the picture of this B&B online is not a true picture.

We were taken to our room which was downstairs at the back of the farmhouse. When we walked in there was a small heater on the floor to warm the room as radiators were not working, the lights flickered and there were tea, coffee facilities and when we put on the kettle the switches tripped and everything went off, this happened twice. The door to the room did not lock from the outside as the key was not a good fit and so the door stayed unlocked whilst we were out. When we arrived home later that evening we walked into the room which was ice cold like we had walked into a fridge, we then put the small heater on which was on the floor that was useless as it would never had heated the room and was dangerous the bathroom was like a freezer and uncomfortable to be in as it was like walking into an outside loo. The next morning we woke up to find no power at all so could not shower not that we wanted to as it was so cold and had no heater. We went to report this to the owner for the man to say there is a power cut in the area and there will be no breakfast so. The powercut in the area was a LIE as we googled to find out that there was no powercut at all. The front of the house was warm when we left SO.. The real problem was the back of the property had a massive fault with a water leak, no power as was not in a liveable state and no guests should have been allowed to have stayed there, so I do not recommend anyone to book into this dreadful B&B when these problems have not been resolved at all. There are many bad reviews for this B&B and we did not read all the reviews before booking. BIG MISTAKE!!!!! A FULL REFUND SHOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN BUT INSTEAD WE WERE GIVEN LIES!

It was a very friendly place to stay. The breakfasts were delicious. The room was comfortable and quiet. Any requests were dealt with quickly. The garden was pleasant to wander around and sit in.

There were no hangers in the wardrobe. An upright chair would be helpful. Handles in the shower and around the bathroom would be useful, as wet surfaces become slippery. A net curtain or similar should be provided for privacy.

Absolutely fantastic place. Bathroom...like stepping back in time ...beautiful.

Nothing not to like.

We were is a triple room upstairs which was well sized. Nice thick curtains. Nice breakfast (including a black pudding, although no beans), good pots of tea and coffee and the chap doinv breakfast was very friendly. Nice old building. We had a small baby with us, the people over the hall didn't hear her, although speaking over breakfast the lady next door heard her a bit when she was being a bit loud. We'd visited before and would be happy to stay again.

Very minor points really, we ran out of milk (a couple of the pots were out of date I think). Hardly material. It was also a bathroom on the hall (fine, we'd not paid attention to it not being en suite, but was a very good price) where the door had obscured glass panels, which just seemed a bit odd to me (the glass though to the bath) but it did allow more light into the hall. The parking is a bit hard to navigate in the dark, but there are plenty of spaces, but if there were more lights I suspect it would light up through the bedrooms so no sure I'd suggest a change. Perhaps a light and sign outside (we missed the drive on the first pass). But clearly perfectly fine given the minor points I could come up with.

Very friendly and accommodating hosts. Tasty breakfast and a comfortable room. Perfect location.
