Angels Hotel

Resteraunt and staff were good.

Room was poor. No window other than a small skylight which could not be opened. Small bathroom and shower cubicle which was difficult to move and wash yourself in.

Room was cosy and clean. Staff were excellent. My colleague and I had food and my colleagues fish was overcooked and they replaced it without any hesitation.

This hotel is really well situated and is only 2 minutes from the station. The members of staff were all pleasant and helpful and the breakfast was excellent.

At check in I was told that the rooms are really noisy because of the music in the bar and they wanted people to know this before they checked it - not sure what I was meant to do if I didn’t like it. Where was I meant to go? He wasn’t wrong - it is really noisy. Bathroom sink was tiny, chipped and took an age to drain. The shower head had been left so high up facing the wall it was difficult to reach. One side of the room was absolutely freezing where there was no radiator. There was no remote control for the television which never appeared after I asked about it.

I've stayed here for some years now & it's always been accomadating to my & my friends needs as & when required
