Wow! What an amazing place to stay. Johnny and Dee greet you like family and are full of Irish hospitality. The room was really comfortable and clean - they have thought of everything. They were also super helpful with advice for exploring the Antrim coast. The location is stunning with views of the glens and the sea! Not only that, their own garden is truly beautiful. The breakfast? Well that kept us going all day! We loved it!

Beautiful home and gardens run by two lovely people! They are artists and it shows in the decor of the house. Lots of space to relax. Great breakfast and homemade treats. Excellent advice about the area.

Only way to town and pub is along a winding road with no shoulder, so needed to make the short trip by car.

From the moment we arrived, Johnny and Dee made us feel at home. Their warmth, hospitality, and attention to detail turned a lovely place into an unforgettable stay. Every morning, we were treated to a delicious homemade breakfast that clearly came from the heart. Their local tips, genuine kindness, and thoughtful gestures made all the difference! One of the highlights for us was the special moment they created for our young daughter. She received a handwritten letter from the “garden fairy,” complete with illustrations, a magical surprise she will surely remember. It was clear that Johnny and Dee went out of their way to make all of us feel welcome. If you're considering staying here, don't hesitate! It's more than just a bed and breakfast because of the incredible hosts. Thank you, Johnny and Dee, we truly hope to return someday!

Breathtaking surroundings and warm hospitality

Thank you Johnny and Dee for an excellent stay. The property itself was so wonderful, with a really comfortable room and bed, beautiful gardens and breathtaking panoramic views of the Irish Sea. But it was Johnny and Dee who made our stay, they were both so friendly and bent over backwards to make us feel at home and relaxed. The breakfasts were also a highlight, very tasty yoghurt, granola and berries, followed by a delicious home cooked spread.

Lovely people and beautiful place

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Bally Cairn this week- Dee and Johnny welcomed us with genuine warmth and we felt at home straight away. Their home is warm and friendly, we enjoyed tea and the best rhubarb pie in the ocean facing sitting room, conversation heaven! Our room was so beautiful, bed and pillows the best and towels large and soft. The room smelt beautiful and clean, the views were amazing. Breakfast was fabulous with views out to Scotland and the flower filled garden. Our stay was a wonderful way to enjoy the Antrim Coast- it is spectacular and worth taking your time to do so. Johnny and Dee’s love of art was very enjoyable and a wonderful showcase of local artists. Dee and Johnny’s personalised map of Northern Ireland is excellent and should be used by Northern Ireland Tourism - it is without doubt superior than any map you will be given.
