We did not book breakfast but had access to a very clean and well equipped kitchen to cook our own food Julie and Craig could not off been more helpful or accommodating nothing was to much trouble Will definitely go back and recommend a stay home n chateau Julie Walking distance to Croxteth Park a grand country home and park with fabulous walks and access to the stately home and farm at certain times in the year A bus ride into Liverpool and all its attractions

Private rooms, but still get use of the facilities in the house like the kitchen (with permission). Can access one of the rooms via the back door which feels more private. Hosts were very welcoming and felt very comfortable there.

The property isn’t immaculately clean throughout. This is very much a lived in house so it is understandable and I understand that. other people we’re quite noisey in the kitchen at 4am which woke me up, again not enough for me to complain but a little bit annoying.

Be aware the accommodation isn’t a self contained unit, or any variation of. It is a spare room off the side of someone’s kitchen. I have tried to resolve this with booking.com and the owner who has refused to refund any of the cash for a three night stay (which i didn’t use!) There was no one available during the stay to complain to, I had checked in early evening and left as soon as it started to get light as I did not want to stay any longer! These are just some of the cleanliness issues: - The bedding was not clean, the room smelled of old dirty laundry - There were stains on the pillows and many, many pubic hairs on top of and under the duvet. - There was thick dust on surfaces and the floor was dirty. - The house was busy and loud. The kitchen right next to the bedroom was being used until gone 11pm, there was also an alarm going off in the kitchen. - I was told in advance I was the only one using the bathroom but there were multiple people using it throughout the evening and night - There was faeces on the toilet seat and dirt in the sink, as well as thick dust. - The stand alone shower in the bedroom was either scalding hot or freezing cold, there were old, used toiletries in there, it was next to a ground floor window with blinds which did not close properly. I didn’t feel safe in the property, there was a person outside the room and in the kitchen late at night. The host was unwelcoming to my dog, despite being listed as a dog friendly property. Access to the garden and kitchen facilities were not given. The description is very misleading, and the facilities did not match the ones listed. Absolutely avoid at all costs, I’m honestly shocked booking.com allow it to be listed. I have uploaded 4 photos as that’s all booking.com will allow… there were many more!!

The garden was great for the dogs to have a run around. And all so sit and relax .
