Barons Granary

The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas and complete with kindling and logs to make a fire. The cleaning was immaculate and the host friendly and helpful. Our stay lived up to the reviews and we would 100% recommend and will definitely rebook. We spent a great day walking a 6 mile loop of Rye harbour: just gorgeous.

By no means is this a negative as the distance from Rye town itself meant it was a beautifully quiet place to stay. But it is worth noting it is slightly further from Rye to enjoy a meal and drink and then walk back but with a car the town is easy to get to and there are multiple car parks.

Absolutely amazing! This is the most cosiest place I have ever stayed. Very homeley and the extra little touches were superb 👌, from the biscuits to the bubble bath, blankets and cushions to the games and local leaflets, Christmas tree 🎄 to the decorations and lights, lamps to the softest carpet, candles and room fragrance. It really was amazing. The breakfast and the hosting was tip top, would love to go back next year. Thank you so much for such a lovely stay x

EVERYTHING !!! The rooms, the way they are furnished with an eye for detail and colour, giving you the feeling that you are home from home. Very nice breakfast with all the frills. An engaging and attentive hostess and host and family !!

Der Empfang und die Betreuung während unseres Aufenthalts durch Joanna war sehr herzlich. Die Unterkunft sehr geräumig mit zwei gemütlichen Zimmern, Kamin und einem Tea-Tray. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und sehr gut. Aufgrund der abgeschiedenen Lage ist es sehr ruhig. Alles war sauber und trotz modernen Standarts sehr gemüglich. Der perfekte Rückzugsort nach winterlichen Wanderungen.

Es ist nicht ganz einfach zu finden, vor allem, wenn man im dunkeln anreist. Aber Joanna hatte uns vorab die Koordinaten für das Navi geschickt :-)

Breakfast was great and we were served with exactly what we asked for. Very comfortable, tastefully decorated, spacious and warm. A pleasant outlook on fields with horses in rolling countryside. A lovely quiet location.

Lovely, rural situation along a quiet country lane, 10 minutes out of Rye. Jo is an excellent host, friendly and helpful - she cooks a fantastic breakfast and provides lovely, thoughtful touches throughout the property such as good quality toiletries and scented candles in the living room. We were made to feel very welcome. The property is very well appointed and spotlessly clean. Overall we had a relaxing, quiet, enjoyable few days using Barons Granary as a good base for exploring Rye and some of the many National Trust and famous garden properties nearby. A great place to recharge your batteries!

There was nothing we didn't like about Barons Granary - we knew it was going to be nice from other reviews but it still exceeded our expectations.
