Highside Farm

I got this for my son & future daughter in law. They thoroughly enjoyed their stay here, especially seeing the animals

Lovely location and very friendly and helpful owners.

Lack of WiFi was a little frustrating but it did us good to have some time away from too much screen time.

Lovely room, beautifully decorated. We loved the breakfast hamper - it was full of delicious food and it was nice not to have to get up to go to breakfast at a particular time.

It just needs some signage or a barrier to stop cars from going in that hole by the sheepfold room. I reversed in so I couldn’t see it - luckily my friend (who was outside the car) spotted it and warned me in time.

Stunning location. Beautiful Room. Fabulous Breakfast Hamper. Will definitely return.

We visited during a heatwave which unfortunately adjusted our overall plans, but the Highside Farm stay was fantastic. We were in the Sheepfold and while we didn’t have any wooly visitors, it was more than comfortable for our stay. Deborah, James, and Edward (as well as Oscar, Bruce, and Stan) were all completely lovely. If we’re ever up in the Lakes again, we’d book here first!

We couldn’t figure out how to stop the beds from rolling around so we did bonk into each other in the night, but that was on us, and we could have asked for help but didn’t find it enough of a hinderance to do so. Didn’t take away from the trip at all!

Great place to stay, would definitely stay there again. Very comfortable beds and the choice of breakfast was fabulous.

Excellent location to explore the lakes, 10 minutes from Keswick, Deborah and all the family are really welcoming, warm and friendly. Touch of luxury in our room, lovely facilities, very clean,comfy bed/linen and pillows. Stunning mountain/lake view from the room. Very quiet. Very clean including the outside space even though it was a working farm!
