Highside Farm

Everything! The room was impeccable; clean, cozy, nicely decorated & smelled incredible (the rhubarb diffuser!) the coffee machine was a great little treat for the morning, and I can’t leave out the flat screen TV with Netflix included! Such an unexpected luxury! Cleanliness was perfect, the bed was so so comfortable, great bathroom & shower. The sheepfold room suited me so well, I love sheep!! Nice views of the horse field too, I had a little visitor neighing outside my window! Absolutely perfect and cannot fault this place one bit.

The room was perfectly clean, comfy, cosy and came with everything you would need for your stay e.g. tea making facilities, microwave, toaster. The host was really friendly with recommended walks, places to eat and answered our questions quickly and was happy to help. Us and our dogs loved it…a gem of a find and we’d love to come back!

You could hear people in the other rooms joining…however this was only a small thing and wouldn’t put us off staying here again.

Large, well equipped property (The Farmhouse) in a lovely location. Perfect for our get away with friends. All amenities worked well and the property was as described. The Mawson family were very helpful and responsive to all requests. Some great walks available in the local area and within easy reach of local towns (Keswick, Cockermouth etc). Would definitely stay at Highside Farm again and would thoroughly recommend Highside Farm to others.

Maybe provide some bottled water to fill the kettle as tap height very low for kettle filling.

The staff was very kind and accommodating!

Perfect location for walking in the local area, nicely secluded from the crowds in Keswick yet near enough for all amenities. Very comfy bed with plenty of storage in room and a nice view over the lake and plenty of choice in continental breakfast basket. Right on the doorstep for climbing Dodd Fell.

Would have liked a shower mat - shower base very slippy when wet

Lovely property! Room was beyond our expectations and served its purpose. Very cosy and well looked after.

If you’re wanting to explore beyond Keswick, the location isn’t very practical for the likes of visiting Windermere or Ambleside however, there is a local bus service where it stops outside the property!
