Highside Farm

The room was exceptionally clean . The family was lovely and very accommodating....plus the dogs where amazing too....we loved Bruce. Everything had been well thought out and was only 10 minutes drive to Keswick. Will definitely book again

A cosy clean comfortable room with an enormous bed and a very nice shower The owner was very kind and helpful On a working sheep farm with a great view

We loved seeing the dogs around but if you don’t like dogs then you may not be so happy and although we were fine with steps and stairs the room we stayed in Sheepfold would not be suitable if you couldn’t walk up stairs

Deborah and her partner are quite possibly the nicest, friendliest, chilled out, accommodating and thoughtful hosts we have ever encountered. The room was outstanding; beautiful, cottage core with modern amenities (and a coffee machine that went down well with my fiancé!). Very clean, lovely little touches and very comfy bed and pillows. We stayed for 2 nights and our room was cleaned/made up after night 1 which we weren't expecting from a B&B, water milk biscuits coffee - all topped up. We got engaged on the first night and when we came home from our walks on day 2, there was prosecco and champagne flutes awaiting us. 5 beautiful and friendly dogs to greet you sometimes. Easy check in. Easy to find. Exceptionally beautiful views and close to great hiking spots, good places to eat. We will absolutely stay here again when we next come to the Lakes. Faultless.

The room has been renovated with love and is well equipped. The amenities and information provided left nothing to be wished for. A warm welcome, hot tea, coffee and shower, friendly dogs and a smiling host add to a fine experience. A place to return to.

Nothing couldn't fault anything

Very well equipped room with lovely touches and comfy bed. Cleaned both days too. Deborah was very friendly. Bus stop nearby if you want to leave the car. Bassenthwaite station is a lovely place to visit and we were lucky to have a table inside the carriage for lunch. Silver Meadows nature reserve is opposite the station and has a boardwalk for easy walking.

Parking was a little tight. We would opt for an upstairs view next time. Not sure if there was an area outside where you could sit out but we could have asked.
