Highside Farm

Beautiful room in a very cute farm. Owners had gone to great trouble to think of everything to make the stay comfortable, mini fridge and microwave oven, tray for dirty boots and amazingly informative and thorough information binder included.

Nothing really but if I have to be picky, parking is a little tight and the accommodation is right on the road.

Really clean, owners were very welcoming and friendly. Lots of nice walks close by. Dog friendly. Room was serviced during the day. Nice coffee/tea set up, milk and butter in the fridge, comfy beds, good tv set up with Netflix etc (although couldn’t get YouTube). Great place for a weekend away in the northern fells.

Difficult to be negative. Really enjoyed it.

The continental breakfast actually worked out well for us- we packed our own sandwiches made from the chess and bread and put this in our rucksacks to walk Skiddaw which is very close to the Farm. It was great to have Netflix- it felt like a home away from home- although after a long walk we soon fell asleep in the comfortable bed.

We moved the table as it was not accessible for two to sit in the corner. No complaints though as it only took 5 mins to rearrange before and after use and plugging in the appliances.

Easy to access, lovely host willing to accommodate in anyway. Very clean.
