We received a very warm welcome. Even though the pub was closed, the owner immediately said she'd make us dinner and we could get drinks whenever we were ready. Dinner was lovely. Our room was a very good size, with a large bathroom that had an amazing shower. Everything was clearly lovingly decorated. We had a good choice of items for a continental breakfast the next morning. We'll gladly return here!

The road is very busy indeed. The owner did offer ear plugs, but I had my own. My boyfriend closed the window during the night. Couldn't possibly fault the place for anything else.

"Disappointing, Pub and Restaurant closed, should not have advertised."

Clean and recently modernised.

Booking should not have taken place. Manager was surprised that it had been made as the Pub and Restaurant are closed on a Wednesday. The hotel is miles from anywhere, fortunately we had a booking at a restaurant 5+ miles away, but I was looking forward to a 'nightcap' when we got back, as I was driving. On our return, no staff around, it was a cold evening and there was no heating in the room. Slept poorly next to a cold wall, in the morning there was ice on the car. Whilst the place has been refurbished, we had to play hunt the power sockets which are behind the TV and under a desk. Not convenient for charging a phone. No mention in the details that the breakfast is a continental cop-out.

Friendly staff and good location

Pub was closed and really didn't expect this so no evening food, extreme hay fever reaction to my room I would guess the cat (also very friendly) had been in the room and unfortunately I'm very reactive to cat's. Can I politely suggest you make booking.com aware of your Pub opening days and also stop pet access to the rooms.
