Excellent location - in walking distance of Brecon town centre, shops etc. Downstairs - plenty of space and good facilities for preparing food, washing up etc. TVs had full range of channels. Adequate space and table and chairs for eating and sitting to watch TV. Upstairs - good washing, bathing and shower facilities.

The toilet seats on both the ground floor and upper floor WCs had come away and were not properly fixed to the basin. It was very difficult for the user to keep either of the seats in position whilst using the WC. They require refitting as soon as possible. The mattresses on each bed were thin and provided inadequate support for the person trying to get to sleep.

The location was good for town centre and canal walks. There was a parking space.

The accommodation was shabby, grubby and needs some tlc. There was no blind at the half glass front door - only the bracket and pull cord of a blind that had once been there. In an attempt to cover this for privacy, we adapted a throw that was on the back of the sofa. Removal of said throw from the sofa revealed it's positioning - to cover the very worn and peeling material! The sofa itself was extremely uncomfortable, and we used the large cushions from the bedroom upstairs to make it tolerable. I used a facial wipe to clean black mould off the shower head and areas of the shower enclosure before I used it. The shower screen had no seal on the bottom - consequently, water escaped through the large gap between the screen and bath - pooling on the floor! On two of the stairs the carpet is loose- not stuck down - dangerous! You'd think this would be noticed when hoovering - if it ever is! Of the 3 different cereals left in the cupboard for continental breakfast- the 3 packets of Alpen were out of date. There was a bulb missing from the ceiling light downstairs. The accommodation is situated at the back of a pub - next to an outdoor area used by smokers. Lodge 1 that we occupied is the nearest to this area - and with it being a warm weekend, we had opened the window a little - but the smell of cigarette smoke was awful. It was also quite noisy on an evening from this outdoor pub area. The only hot water we had for our 2 night stay was the electric shower. When reported by text to the contact number in the information sheet early in the morning after our first night - no response. I text again in the afternoon and received a reply that it would be looked into once the guy returned from a family funeral. It was around 9pm when a guy came knocking at the door - we were in our pj's ready for bed and my husband told him that it didn't matter now. On looking at reviews, the water seems to have been an issue since September 2024!

The breakfast goods were plentiful and Gareth was a top host 👍👍🍾

Just what we needed for trip to the area. Good location with all facilities required for quiet visit to do our own stuff

Small issues with plumbing (downstairs toilet sink wouldn't empty) but very minor

Cleanliness, facilities and location. Fresh milk and bread provided for breakfast which was lovely. A genuine nice feel of the property and surroundings.

There was no hob/cooking rings which were advertised as being included. Also no hot water throughout our stay unless through the shower.

Great location had car parking included in the price, suited us for a long weekend away also dog friendly

Bit dated and the shower wasn't very powerful
