The Halfway House Pub and Kitchen

We stayed here for a festival at Port Elliot. On arrival we were made to feel very welcome. It was a baking hot day so Lloyd very kindly gave us a lift to the festival and even gave us water when he dropped us off. The room we were in was lovely. Comfortable and tastefully decorated with everything you need. Kirsty was lovely and very helpful when I spoke to her about our booking. Kate served us breakfast and she was lovely. Chloe cooked one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and would definitely recommend it. I'm thinking of coming back for a themed night because it was all so fab!

Slightly scruffy accommodation but large room. We understand the property is still recovering from a downtime and can recover with investment which has to come from takings.

Owners contacted me to inform me restaurant was closed due to a wake. This was the reason for our stay. Breakfast lovely, fresh fruit already on table. Great cooked breakfast and coffee.

Only thing was there was only one bath towel and one hand towel which we could have asked for another but did with the one. Also there could have been some shower gel as for once I forgot ours but other than that. A great stay and would recommend to others

It was very pleasant and welcoming. Generally tidy and the evening meal was ok.

My room was freezing cold as the heating went off in the night. Parking was limited. Breakfast is not served until 09:00 which is no good to a working traveller, I was given a bacon roll the night before but that was of course cold in the morning.
