The Halfway House Pub and Kitchen

Location was perfect, plenty of parking and good clean facilities at a nice price. Was only a whistle stop stay but would definitely use again if we are nearby and need a good value stop over.

Nothing much was great for the price, very welcoming and efficient.

A great reception from Kate when we arrived, and her very kind husband MAL gave me his parking place right outside. We left too early for breakfast but had a very good dinner (cooked by Jago) served in a friendly way by Niamh, Ellie B and Iowena.

It was no fault of the Halfway House but some of their guests were very noisy rather late in the evening.

Very convenient for our purposes, exceptionally friendly landlord/landlady and lovely helpful staff. There was a very good restaurant, fresh milk in our room for coffee and a comfortable bed. What more could you ask from a pub stay?

Parking was restricted but we always got parked.

I would have liked to try the breakfast, but at 9.0 too late for someone going to work . The room was very pleasant , I liked the industrial style side lights. The availability of fresh milk. Spacious room . The availability of USB sockets .

Was a bit out of the way from anywhere, too many hills.
