Atmosphere in bar and restaurant nice.

Noise in bedroom 4 wasn’t great - think above the cellar with chillers blasting all night 😞 Lots of steps for a 90yr old, but then it is the side of a Welsh hill!

Location was ok for visiting family locally. We were the only guests (mum and teenage son). We paid £130 for one night (inc breakfast) and had a dated and tired twin room. The sheets were stained and had hairs from previous occupants but it was too late at night to do much about it. There were no blinds on the windows so light came straight in very early am. The trip to and from breakfast was through the back bar area that was rubbish strewn and cramped. Breakfast was ok, felt a little “encouraged” not to order a full English so can’t comment on that. Seemed an awful lot of money for what what it was.

Room could have been cleaner, clean sheets, window blinds or blackout curtains, a menu at breakfast.

Staff were lovely and accommodating. The kitchen closed at 8pm but they still made food for my friends and I who arrived after 8. Bless their kind souls for curing my h-anger! Rooms were nice warm and clean! Towels smelled so fresh. Bathroom was spotless! Food was nice!

I was in Room 1 and I felt like the bathroom was going to flood during my shower because the drain didn't drain fast enough 😅 I had to lower the shower pressure to a trickle.

The parking situation is severely restricted and parking nearby is for resident permits only, so this was not convenient. There was no soundproofing and so any noise made in other rooms or on other floors was very loud. Droning sounds, heating sounds, staff yellow at each other to get up at 6am gave me a very poor sleep which was not value for money. The building needs a lot of tlc it was more like a pub with a few rooms added as as afterthought.

As always a good stay. the staff are very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast.

Lovely spacious room. Comfortable bed. Lovely power shower. Wi-Fi to do my work. Given an upgrade on arrival without even asking!

we had all we needed with the rooms, so it's really good for a short stay (for longer stays it may be more suitable if you had your own kitchen like in a holiday home, but of course it all depends on your needs etc) I eat vegan and it was good that there was a plant drink for cereals, it would be great to have more options, as for example different vegan spreads, like an alternative to animals milk butter, also for example to offer hummus or nut butter

it was all okay, except for my needs it was a bit uncomfortable on the beds as I could feel the springs and it was a bit too soft, but also having mentioned that I easily get a sore back so it just wasn't that suitable for my back situation
