"Peaceful location, warmest of welcomes."

Lily Hill Farm is a perfect location to explore Barnard Castle and County Durham. The farm is a working, authentic place, and the whole location is so peaceful. Karen, our host, gave us the warmest of welcomes. Our twin room had everything we needed and more - including fresh, homemade scones, and biscuits, plus fresh milk. Breakfast was huge, and so well cooked. All in all a wonderful, homely, relaxing stay. Thank you!

Everything was perfect. Hill Top should be charging more though!

Excellent choice at breakfast; big portions and very tasty, freshly cooked. Location was beautifully rural and so peaceful. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming; loved the scone and jam with FRESH milk waiting for us

An excellent place to stopover. We stayed two nights on our way to Scotland and one night on the way down. There is a wonderful breakfast with loads of choice and the bedroom had everything you need including coffee tea fresh milk chocolate decaf and ordinary etc. Barnard Castle ltself is a nice place to visit. Karen is very helpful and it is a joy to stay.
