Stroud House

Our hostess Sarah was wonderful, and soo helpful. The house is comfortable and her breakfasts were very tasty and plentiful.

Everything. Sarah looks after you better than your mother. Great location, beautiful house, lovely garden, fantastic breakfast.

There was nothing to complain about.

Stroud House is in an excellent location; very quiet but easy access to Freshwater and Freshwater Bay, with good local pubs nearby. Breakfast was perfect with everything you could possibly want; fresh orange juice, filter coffee, several choices of delicious fruit, for example, stewed rhubarb cooked with orange juice and ginger. This was followed by a cooked breakfast of choice, perfectly made, accompanied by toast and homemade marmalade or jam. Sarah is an excellent host, very friendly and helpful, and a mine of local knowledge. Nothing was too much trouble. We will return for sure! (Written by Jill, Peter's wife)

Sarah was very welcoming and lovely host. The breakfast was absolutely delicious with fresh local produce, homemade granola and jams. The IOW oven roast tomatoes were very tasty. We slept very well in the comfortable bed - very quiet at night and cool, in the very hot weather.

Beautifully presented accommodation with quality fixtures and fittings in a character property. Excellent breakfast, lots of local information and insights. Host Sarah was very friendly and engaging. Many thanks for a super stay.
