Nothing i didnt like

Our only main criticism was that the breakfasts were a little underwhelming having read the reviews and indeed heard what Jenny had told us. Everything was beautifully cooked and presented but we would have expected a little more. Perhaps some fresh fruit/cereals etc . Perhaps 2 eggs rather than one. However that doesn't distract from this lovely Band B.

Cosy, clean, comfy bed..

What a gem - Where do I start … My husband and I only booked for 1 night but I wish we could’ve stayed all week! Jenny is an amazing host, absolutely delightful and so welcoming. The location is stunning and Jenny’s home is warm, beautifully decorated and spotless. You can tell she’s put a lot of love into making it such a wonderful B&B and there are so many little touches all around. She’s also very knowledgeable when it comes to Blagdon, the history of nearby Coombe Lodge and the local area in general. We had the larger double room with en-suite and I can honestly say that it’s one of the best nights sleep I’ve ever had. The bed was extraordinarily comfortable and topped with a luxurious duvet and sumptuous linen. When we returned from supper at the Ring O Bells pub (recommend), Jenny had kindly done a turn down bed service which was a really sweet personal touch. For the ladies, there’s a pair of GHD straighteners and a GHD hairdryer as well as robes and slippers tucked away in the drawers. There wasn’t an iron or ironing board in the room but Jenny was more than happy to let us use hers which my husband (who is a veteran and fortunately particularly good at it) said is state of the art! The shower was lovely and hot and soap/shampoo was aplenty! The window looked out onto the garden and the room was so peaceful with just the sound of birds it was serene! There was water, tea and a Nespresso machine in the room and breakfast in the morning was included. Several options are available but we both opted for the English breakfast and definitely made the right choice there. Served at 9am in the dining room, it was exceptional and nothing was too much trouble. Jenny’s experience with hospitality also includes fantastic culinary skills! It was cooked to perfection and came with beautiful, warm homemade bread. If you’re looking for a quintessentially English experience, Jenny, her lovely little dog Titch and Coombe Lodge Farm House offers this and so much more!

Had a wedding reception at Coombe Lodge Hall so stayed 1 night at this accommodation. The location was perfect and Jenny the host was very friendly and welcoming. We also had an amazing breakfast cooked by Jenny in the morning! Would definitely stay here again!

Location absolutely perfect for attending a wedding at Coombe Hall- just a 2 minute walk. Beds were really comfortable and breakfast was amazing. Jennie is a very welcoming host.

Ideally a bit more water pressure in the shower- but it’s an old house.

Our Host Jenny was wonderful, friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Titch the owner's blind dog was amazing and so friendly. The breakfast choices and quality were outstanding. The short path and steps from the house to Coombe Lodge Wedding Venue, where we attended a wedding was ideal and we would recommend staying with Jenny if you are attending a wedding there. It is a lovely quiet area if you need a break from city life. Thank you for a lovely stay.
