East Pallant Bed and Breakfast, Located in Large Georgian Townhouse in Central Chichester

Good breakfast. Very quiet and comfortable.

We had the twin room which needed a freshen up paintwise & was small in comparison to the double rooms.However staff very friendly and we slept well in the comfortable beds.

This house is a really good central location - perfect for anyone who wants to explore within the city. I received a text message explaining how to find the parking space and get in to the house, though it still took me a couple of loops of the streets to get it right, the instructions were spot on. The house is beautiful with huge public rooms. My room (obviously part of the servants quarters originally) was up very steep stairs on the top floor and had the promised view of the garden. It was very quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was a mix of help yourself and made to order (drinks and hot food) and was very good.

There was no Marmite at breakfast (nor sign of jams/honey), so I'm not sure what happened if someone wanted toast. A few bits of the building need cleaning e.g. the back of doors where people push them shut. I didn't like the lack of on-site staff and needing to know multiple codes to get into the property. The experience of arriving was a bit strange as the place was empty. I found my room on the basis of a text message (once I'd managed to get the entry door code to work).

Beautiful old house, well furnished.

Arriving was frustrating. I was sent codes to access the property on the morning of our arrival. We reached the front of the building, then went past, expecting to find the car park. There was no car park, so we had to go round the block. This time, we stopped in front of the building (on a narrow street with double yellow lines) and got out. Pasted in the window were directions to the car park - which was round the same block. Why not send car park directions to the guest, along with the entry code? (Speaking of which, the front entry code did not appear to allow entry into the main house!)

It is in a fantastic location, right next to the gallery and near to shops, restaurants, the Cathedral and canal. The house is a relaxing place to stay. The breakfast was delicious, with lots of options. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Very clean, comfortable and exceptionally quiet for a city centre location. Free parking was a bonus. Great location, near all facilities.

A better light over the washbasin?
