The Hero

Everything was absolutely wonderful and I had a great time at the Hero. The room had everything it needed and the bed was very comfy (great after a day of walking!) The staff in particular were lovely and the food truly delicious. Lots of delicious vegetarian/vegan options at the pub, and breakfast was generous! I stayed at the Hero on my own while walking the Norfolk Coastal path and it was truly the perfect pit stop. I certainly intend to come back!

The suite was beautiful and incredibly inviting. We instantly felt at home and loved that we had our own private entrance. The staff couldn’t have been nicer, it felt like nothing was too much trouble and the attention to detail, such as remembering it had been my partner’s birthday when we checked out was a lovely touch. It’s a lovely area and would be easy to spend a couple of days here to get away from the rat race.

Gun hill was awesome. Like having our own apartment Breakfast cooked to perfection Meals both nights in the pub restaurant were delicious Goody bag at the end was a lovely touch .

It was our first time visiting The Hero. A perfect place to stay and unwind we had a lovely room with a comfortable bed and it was quiet for a relaxing stay.We were in the Pollard on the ground floor cosy but well equipped. Luxury tea, coffee and toiletries were provided. The food was delicious and plentiful. The pub was well presented and had a lovely atmosphere. The staff were genuinely warm and friendly and helpful. The surrounding countryside is just stunning and The Hero is well placed in the middle of it all but not too busy or in the thick of the tourist area. Loved it here. There is a lovely walk from The Hero, down past the harbour and all the way to the beach. Upon checking out we were presented with a goody bag as a thanks for staying. It had cookies, crisps, a box of premium tea bags, a bottle of 0.5% Adnams beer and a bag of treats for the dog all locally sourced, such a nice touch. We will defo be back!!! Our dog Lilly loved it there so much and I think she made pals with the team at the Hero 🐶🐾

Location, room was very comfortable. Pub was lovely and fantastic food. The team working there were all very helpful too.
