"Lovely pub with friendly staff that made us very comfortable"

The breakfast was excellent and drinks brilliant. Also served by friendly and polite staff.

We also had evening meals which were excellent and the Sunday roast was one of the best we’ve had

Beautiful room with everything you could need, warm, cosy and clean. The food was delicious, Guinness was exceptional and the staff were all so attentive and kind. A lovely little festive stay.

"25 minutes drive to the Thursford show and ideal base to explore the area."

Very cosy in the pollard room, awesome breakfast. Very helpful check in staff and bar staff who gave us tips on the show we were seeing in Thursford and got our meal out quickly sat I we could make the show.

Location and it was lovely s as nd clean and well stocked drinks tray

Such a friendly, welcoming place. Our dog was treated so well too. We had a lovely dinner at the Hero and breakfast the following day. Would definitely return.
