Batur lake view

Nous n'avons pas séjourné dans cet établissement car il y a eu une confusion avec Batur lake view hôtel !! Le propriétaire m'avais mis un message Whatsapp pour me demander vers quelle heure nous allions arriver. Il m'avait également demandé les coordonnées de notre chauffeur, sans que j'en comprenne la nécessité. Mais lorsque nous sommes arrivés à Batur et que nous avons compris la confusion avec les deux lieux, nous avons essayé de le joindre mais il n'a jamais répondu. Il était à une célébration et n'a mis un sms que 2 heures plus tard !!!

The place didn't exist. We went to the address on the listing and it wasn't there. We found another address for it, went to it, and it wasn't there either... Pretty sure this place is a scam. Owner told me he would refund me, then stopped answering me completely - never got the refund from him.

Nous avons réservé via booking le jour-même vers 13h et sommes arrivés à l'endroit à 21h (check in possible jusque 22h). Personne ne nous attendait. Personne n'avait vu notre réservation. En sus, le logement était complet. Contacter le propriétaire sur whatsapp fur difficile. On nous a envoyé un point de rdv vers un autre logement. D'un standing inférieur. La chambre était crasseuse. Toute la literie était au lavoir donc nous avons du attendre le lendemain matin pour recevoir des draps convenables (mais encore tachés), des essuies et, difficile à expliquer, du papier toilette. Le petit déjeuner prévu à 8h est arrivé à 10h. Le personnel, quoique sympathique, n'était simplement pas prêt ni d'un niveau professionnel. Nous sommes des hôtes d'habitude fort accommodants mais nous ne sommes finalement pas restés plus longtemps.

Isolated place and very nice staff. Confortable. Good support for Mount Batur trekking. Recommended.

Nice small scale property. Super nice staff. Lovely natural hot water pool. Good kitchen/restaurant. At my proposal, 2 vegan dishes were added to the menu. Try the tempeh burger and mung-bean cocos curry! Free water daily. Good start point for the hike to Gunung Batur (1.717 meters). Good hot shower in the room.

At moments and places, there are many flies. But this problem exists in this whole valley.

The location is ideal for discovering the surrounding Mt Batur. The staff is very nice and welcoming.

Initially, Mowgli (the host for this announcement) was friendly and helped us find a driver to take us to the hotel. However, it became apparent that his primary interest was in getting us to book the Mt. Batur climb through him. He has a partnership with the hotel owner to bring in clients, which explains the multiple listings of the property. We had originally booked two rooms, but due to double booking and overbooking issues, we ended up in a single room with our two children. There were numerous flies outside and around the swimming pool, making the room the safest place to stay. After two nights, we noticed there were other, nicer accommodations in town that were free of flies. Also, one night is sufficient as there isn't much to do in the town beyond Mt. Batur and the lake.
