The Harbour Masters House

Lovely Garden and breakfast room

The Harbour Masters House is in a delightful location, overlooking a canal. Darren could not have been more accommodating or helpful. He has extensive experience of travelling in Ireland and was able to provide us with really helpful advice. He was happy to cater to our preferences at breakfast, and we enjoyed them immensely. Bottled water and tea and coffee making facilities were provided in the room. There is a lovely garden at the rear of the property, and a pleasant deck overlooking it, plus a comfortable sitting room, all of which we were welcome to enjoy.

We'd very happily stay again. Just very small things that could be improved. I think a guest before us had smoked in the room. Not at all the hosts fault, but unfortunately, there was a slight smell of cigarettes. No hair dryer or bath mat in the room.

Beautiful home and gardens. Very welcoming. Excellent location. Great information about visiting Birr castle and a great road to take on the next leg of our trip.

Darren was an excellent host. We loved the location, breakfast was great. I told Darren I was taking part in a race the next day and he made me some overnight granola which was delicious
