The One Ella

This is really as good as it looks.

Polished concrete floors are beautiful but very slippy!

Great location not in Ella town but close enough to walk. Also fantastic location for Little Adam’s Peak and Nine Arch Bridge. Fantastic views with lovely terrace and mini garden. Very thoughtfully set out and appointed. Breakfast was amazing and it was lovely to have a bag of water and snacks for the journey ahead. Dom and his colleagues are wonderful and so helpful!

Very little not to like, and could have happily stayed longer. Recommend better WiFi if possible.

Clean and well thought out

When we booked The One, we didn't realise that it was a 2 bedroom property only but that worked greatly to our advantage as we had the whole property to ourselves during our one night stay. It was raining the entire time (due to cyclone Ditwah) but the room and patio (with sofa, dining table and even a hammock!) was still wonderful for us to wait it out. Best thing about the room apart from the privacy is the view! They provided amenities such as plates, cutlery and even a first aid kit. Our ample breakfast was served on the patio outside our room, talk about room service haha!

The only thing to note is that there is no parking so we had to walk a short way and climb some stairs before reaching the room. A little challenging in the rain.

The view was amazing. Because of the spacious veranda we could sit outside and enjoy even when it was raining, which was very often. Breakfast was very good and served very well, specially fresh fruit juice and artistic fruit platter. It was very private and peaceful.

Booking.Com said the entire unit is on ground floor. Nothing was mentioned about the fifty stairs we had to climb to get to the place in rain. Stairs were slippery and no railing to hold. There was no cupboard or drawers. We had to hang clothes on an open rod in the room. Because of rain plenty if moths came. And there was a lizard in the room too.

Herrliche Aussicht, das beste Frühstück in Sri Lanka, sehr freundliche Gastgeber. Wir wären gerne auch länger geblieben!

Great hotel. Great room, insanely good location and breakfast was phenomenal. Highly recommend staying here.

Sehr schöne unterkunft mit schöner Terrasse und Blick über das Tal. Direkt am Aufstieg zum little Adams peak. Sehr netter Besitzer. Frühstück wird auf der eigenen Terrasse serviert. Die Badtür klemmte und wurde sofort repariert.
