The One Ella

I booked this because of the brilliant reviews and it didn't disappoint! Truly idyllic looking out into the hills of Ella, but still walking distance to the town and Adam's Peak. The breakfast was the best we had in Sri Lanka, and the staff were very kind and accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

We had a short one-night stay at The One Ella, and it had everything we needed. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the breakfast was large, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Great location near Adams Peak. Perfect for a quick stopover in Ella.

Dom is the best host I’ve ever met — truly beyond expectations. The hotel is in a peaceful natural setting, yet only walking distance to Ella center, Little Adam’s Peak and Nine Arch Bridge. The room was spotless and equipped with everything you could possibly need (even a first aid kit and full dinnerware set — which I loved!). We had to check out at 3 AM for a safari in Yala National park, and Dom insisted on waking up to see us off and prepare some food for the trip. Luckily he did, because we overslept and would have missed our driver if it wasn’t for him! He even arranged for the driver to wait for us. He literally saved our trip. Without doubt, I’ll stay here again on my next visit to Sri Lanka.

Excellent range of complimentary items: toothbrush, shaving, plates, tea, knives. Even several beers in the fridge. Delicious, large breakfast. The owner has thought of everything!

A bit challenging, negotiating the steps with my old knees, but the team was more than happy to carry our luggage.

Breakfast was great. Offered a good variety. Fruits were always fresh. The morning fruit juice was perfect. The breakfast view was unparallel.

Lack of privacy because the only windows looked out directly on the terrace - could easily be fixed by adding translucent curtains as well as the blackout ones

Die Unterkunft befindet sich in Ella (der Name bedeutet „Wasserfall“) wunderschön in Hanglage am Beginn des Pfades zum Little Adams Rock mit Blick ins Grüne. Mehrere Restaurants und Cafés liegen sind fußläufig erreichbar. Es ist alles in den beiden großzügig geschnittenen Häuschen vorhanden und die Einrichtung ist sehr ansprechend. Der Gastgeber und das Personal sind freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben!

Der grenzwertige Preis ist der traumhaften Lage und der Alleinstellung geschuldet.

Dom was an excellent host, are room was perfect. Our breakfast was delicious and so much variety. He even provided us with provisions for the drive to Galle. Lastly, the view from our room was spectacular.

Nothing, everything about our stay was beyond our expectation.
