"Lovely little place but bring a fan! 🥵"

7.0

Lovely clean room and modern en suite. Great teas abd coffees - even had oat milk! The key fob so you can come and go as you please is great. Location - perfect for visiting Skipton

Car park is a little tight, so advise arriving early. The room was really warm but unfortunately the window opened onto some sort of generator or air conditioner that was making a loud noise on and off all night so didn't sleep very well.

Very good location in Skipton

We stayed in room 5 and the low beams were a problem I would stay at the hotel again but not if it was a room with the lowbeams.

"Bit of a strange hotel...closes during the day from 9.30 till 3pm"

6.0

Ihave stayed in many 5 star hotels, and this definitely isn't one. The room was nice but very cold as the heating wasnt on in the room. It was nice and clean, The hotel decor could really do with some TLC...just cosmetic but would make it look far better. Staff were friendly and helpful, but I think they should put on their web site that if you arrive before check in time the hotel is closed. You can leave your luggage but there is no way you can get a drink use a toilet etc which after travelling may be needed. So you have to go into town. Never stayed in a hotel that closes before....! Once you have checked in you get a key fob so you can get in and out, but just seemed a bit odd.

Not much. Got an upgrade and thats about it

The hotel closes from 9.30 till 3pm..which I found very strange, it is a hotel not a restaurant. I arrived after a long journey and was hoping to get a coffee perhaps something to eat and use the bathroom. None of these were possible. I could leave my luggage but that was it. I found it really strange that a hotel closes during the day..... I got an upgrade and the room was nice and very clean, but there was no heating on in the room so I was really cold all night. No one asked me how the stay had been i just left the key at the bar as they dont have a reception. For 114 pounds without breakfast I expected more, it says 5 star, but it is no way 5 star..i would give it 3. Needs a lot of TLC...paintwork and carpets in need of a refurbish. Shame as it is in a great position.

"Perfect Sunday Lunch experience"

10.0

What a find! Managed to squeeze us in for a table for two for Sunday Lunch - very busy and vibrant place. Staff were friendly & attentive. Most importantly the food - massive portions, well presented, served hot and everything was perfect. Sadly no room for dessert for us but looking round they looked delicious! We'll be back to enjoy the evening menu this Summer. Thank you.

"Quality ingredients"

10.0

Great breakfast and service in a nice setting. It was better on the Sunday than the Monday as the bottom of the fried eggs were a bit burnt. Too minor to send back and I’d happily eat here again - you could tell taste the quality ingredients used.

"Not as good as last time"

8.0

We stayed here in Feb 2025 and had an amazing time. We decided to take my in-laws for their Christmas present as we had said how good it was. We booked 2 double rooms and both had issues - my in-laws bathroom radiator was leaking badly which they informed the staff of but it wasn’t looked at until 5.30pm that evening when we were all back and wanting to get ready to go out, plus there were cobwebs on the beams and light fittings and black bits throughout the bathroom that had come through the velux window. Our room on check in was also not as clean as it could have been - dead flies on window sill, dusty and bits of black stuff in the bath and sink. The maid service was also lacking in both rooms - bins not emptied, shower gel not replenished and bed wasn’t made properly (sheets not tucked under etc), empty water bottles from the day before not taken, sinks and baths not wiped etc. The rooms could definitely do with a refresh - there is chipped paint, marks on the wall, sagging mattresses, loose headboards, jacuzzi bath not working, stains on the cushions - it just wasn’t the high standard we experienced last year. My mother in-law did mention the lack of maid service to one of the girls in the bar who apologised but nothing was offered to be done again. The food and drink was lovely - apart from the eggs at breakfast which were hard but everything was good quality so that can be forgiven. All in all we did enjoy our stay, we just feel the rooms need a bit more attention including the day to day maintenance to give this place the high standards we experienced last time we visited.
