The room , and location were both fabulous, Lee the owner and all staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough All work extremely hard to ensure everyone has a great time..

The outside area was slippy.. Especially when wet. Can’t be helped as on a slight hill. Just be careful and more aware.

We booked an overnight stay at The Curious Fox mainly for its proximity to Skipton town centre. On arrival, we managed to get one of the four designated parking spaces, though we weren’t sure where we would have parked had we not been so lucky. As we were too early to check in, we decided to have a drink in the bar. It was very busy, but the staff were able to accommodate us with a reserved table. The Sunday lunch was the best I’ve ever had—quite expensive, but the food was excellent. When we checked into our rooms later in the evening, we were disappointed to find black mould around the windows and in the bathroom. Despite this, we all slept comfortably, and breakfast the next morning was enjoyable. I would definitely return for the Sunday lunch.

Just enjoyed a perfect Sunday roast, best we’ve ever had, we shared the 3 meat platter. The service was great with a lovely atmosphere, will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay on Friday night. The room had everything we needed for a comfortable night's sleep with some lovely added extras. Drinks in the evening were served by friendly and attentive team and we sat in the bar area which has a lovely atmosphere. Breakfast was excellent, tasty and again staff were great. Overall a fantastic night away, will certainly be back.

Have been here in the past and had no issues before. Today however, we came and it took half an hour for it to come out, I was also under the impression by ordering the 'old school' it would come with more that just 5 dots of hollandaise sauce. My 1st poached egg the yolk was hard and the 2nd one was very snotty that I didn't eat it. My partner also ordered an extra hash brown with his meal which didn't come with it. Our coffees had gone cold by the time the breakfast came. It has put me off returning here in the future.

On the reality TV programme (filmed in 2023/ aired in 2024) one couple of contestants stated that the lack of window coverings was a privacy issue. Staying in the same room in 2025, nothing had been done about it. As the Curious Fox restaurant was closed, we sought another restaurant in the town but came back to find rainwater dripping from the bathroom ceiling. We informed the owner by phone and he offered us another room but as it was after 9pm, we declined. However, the dirty brown stains on the ceiling, suggested that this was a recurring problem. This, along with other issues regarding cleanliness of the room did not make an enjoyable stay. The lack of meet and greet or any face-to-face contact with either of the owners was nothing like the "staged" version on CH4.

Everything. Quirky features, lovely comfortable room and the restaurant is fabulous.

Didn’t love the car park but appreciate that parking facilities are at a premium in this area. Easy walking distance to nearest public car park.

The staff, the welcome, the room, the FOOD all brilliant. Loved the quirkiness! Beds super comfortable.

Nothing not to like. On a personal note as we're so old(!) a hand grab rail would be very helpful in a bath shower. You're not alone - no-one thinks of it.

It's a lovely, quirky little hotel with real charm and character. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the bed was the most comfortable we have slept in other than our own, the view from the room was lovely and the breakfast was the best I've had in a hotel for a long time.

Black pudding with the breakfast please, the only thing missing. And larger bath towels. While we are no longer as slim as we were (!), we are far from obese, but these struggled to maintain our modesty.
