Brae Lea House, Lochboisdale, South Uist. Outer Hebrides

The B& B was excellent. Our host, Rupert, came and met us in the carpark when we arrived and welcomed us. We were shown the lounge, breakfast room etc ad given our keys. Nice view from my room over South Uist. Had a great night’s sleep and the cooked breakfast the next day was superb. Only stayed one night but would recommend for longer stays. My travel partner left an item of jewellery by mistake when we left but Rupert contacted me he went over and above to arrange it to be posted.

Excellent location for the Lochboisdale ferry and for exploring the islands. The EV charger was a great bonus as many of the chargers were not working in South Uist. Rupert was an amazing host and so so helpful with advice of places to visit and assistance with CalMac when they cancelled our ferry.

This was one of the best B&Bs we have stayed in. We stayed for 4 nights and would have loved to stay longer - we will definitely be back. The breakfast selection was excellent (lots of vegetarian options). Rupert was so welcoming and helpful with information and suggestions. It really felt like a home.

Der Gastgeber war zuvorkommend, aufmerksam und seine Rosmarin-Omelette, ist die Beste, die wir je gegessen haben.

Das Gästehaus ist sehr stylisch eingerichtet. Im Frühstücksraum und im Wohnzimmer, kann man die Aussicht super geniessen.

Rupert war sehr hilfsbereit und hat uns gut informiert

Rupert was a very accommodating host. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent fresh made to order breakfast. Rupert waited for us to arrive and welcomed us in, even though the ferry was late. He also kept us updated regarding the ferry. We cannot fault this venue and would love to return. 10/10

The room was too small for a wardrobe, and as bikers, we struggled with our bike gear in the room. One shower was tiny but adequate.

Rupert was the perfect host, he was full of local knowledge, the guest house decor was to die for, especially the guest lounge which had a kissing seat and a beautiful big window looking out onto the mountain and binoculars to spot birds with. Loved the little library. Breakfast was delicious

I liked it all - I didn;t like having to leave.

Sehr hilfsbereiter und freundlicher Gastgeber. Sehr bequeme Betten, ein ausgezeichnetes Frühstück.

Anreise war etwas schwierig wegen schlechter Fährverbindung.

Great host lovely room in great location .lots of help with places to visit. Informed me of all the ferry issues before cal Mac and helped with onward travel. Do plan to returnexploring
