Hilary and Paul are exceptional hosts who couldn't do enough for us. They even gave us some cakes which we didn't expect on arrival. The location to York is great,Hilary and Paul gave us all the information we needed to catch the bus into York and how to find our way back. All you need to do is ask and they are there to help which made it a pleasure to stay with them. The rooms are lovely with amazing complimentary toiletries and small little touches in the room which we didn't expect. The breakfast was fabulous from cereal to a full English theres so much choice. From booking to arriving the communication was great. I would highly recommend staying here

Westergate House is stunningly beautiful,with exceptionally attention to detail. I was met with a very warm welcome and shown the layout of the property and my room,which has everything you could possibly want including a lovely view of the gardens.

There is nothing not to like !!

Everything, especially Bonnie & Clide (Cockee Spaniels). Hilary and Paul were amazing throughout, recommended an amazing Thai restaurant to myself which was also amazing, breakfast was delicious so all in all, I’d have great pleasure in returning to their establishment.

Nothing, simply beautiful! Can’t wait for the next stay.

Being on the A19 the location was good to access York and the surrounding areas. The property was well appointed, very clean and quiet. The room and en-suite were large and overlooked the beautiful rear garden. Breakfast was plentiful and of a high quality. The owners were very welcoming and helpful and we can understand why they have repeat customers. We would definitely return on our next trip up to York.
